The third one is Sickbay Wall Main at the same dimension and I seem to have 'lost' my original file as I can't seem to locate it at the moment but it will be somewhere in the same neighborhood as the other two as far as file size goes.Your advice about deleting part of the plan and reimporting it later seems sound, but I have been a little nervous about trying it. The texture files (3 main ones so far)are thus: Crew Cabin Main 679kb 960x2400 pixels (equating to 96 inches by 240 inches) and Main Corridor 261kb at the same pixel size. (Still in the 32 bit basement) 3 gbs Ram with a Radeon graphics card with 512m. My system is an old Dell Dimension 8400 running Windows XP. If it's twice as fast, delays are halved, not more. This also suggests that your new computer won't solve the problem. It makes me think of a project I started on several years ago, but which I abandoned for the same reason: slow reaction times after drawing many, many walls. This strongly suggests that SH3D re-calculates ALL walls with every modification. When I export the bottom half of your design, delete it and then re-import it, delays are roughly halved. Maybe you could split the design in several sections? Use Export to OBJ format and join the sections after importing them again. ![]() What is the size of the image that you are using as a texture for the walls? (in pixels and in KB's/MB's?) Decreasing that size (to 512x512 pixels or less) may have some impact on performance, although not very much.
